Ok, so we are taking advantage of the awesome Utah weather (if it ever shows up) and planting a garden. This past Saturday, we started the process. My dad was kind enough to lend us his backyard for the space, since we can't really fit one on our balcony. It was the perfect day to be working out in the yard. We are excited to plant! We will be updating a lot about our garden, as it is our baby, and we love it.
Here we all are working. We raked, tilled, shoveled, even hoed a little. Lucy helped too.
We got to relax a little and enjoy the weather afterwards. We are going to plant in the next few weeks when it warms up for good. We are excited!
Lucy had fun playing out in the yard. She was so dirty at the end of the day, and had a dirt beard to show how much fun she had. She got a bath as soon as we got home, and pooped out for the rest of the night. Poor little Lucy!

love the spa post. haha. james is a lucky man!
What a lovely idea about the summer garden! what are you planning on planting? I can help you with the weeding and picking and all that kind of stuff. That is how we did our weekly service hours in the summer in England and I loved being out there...my hands in fresh dirt pulling out little miracles. And it's perfect for your healthy eating lifestyle too.
I have bought every kind of hot pepper you can buy, and am beginning my "windowsill greenhouse" waiting for them to sprout so I can transplant them. We are also growing cilantro, basil, spinach, onions, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, green onion, cucumber, broccoli, and squash. We'll see how it all turns out!
ye-ahh! Way to go.
YAY! a garden...
